Soil Stabilisation further works at Milton Keynes

As works progress on our Milton Keynes site we have been awarded a further area to treat taking the contract volumes in excess of 150,000 sq.m.  Once the Soil Stabilisation/Lime Stabilisation has been completed the site will be developed for commercial use with various industrial distributions centers and offices being constructed.

Cement Stabilisation history

Found a great photo today showing how Soil Stabilisation and Cement Stabilisation was once carried out.  A Lime/Cement Spreader has been devised by securing a unit to the back of a dump truck, basic but effective.  Times have now moved on somewhat and specially designed enclosed units are now utilised to minimise dust creation.

Another Soil Stabilisation sampling exercise carried out today on a site in Cumbria which is being developed as part of a larger scheme.  Images show the samples being collected ready to be taken to a laboratory for testing.
