Lime Modification and Cement Stabilisation

Found a good publication here today from the Louisiana State University which looks at the differences between Lime Stabilisation/Lime Modification and Cement Stabilisation.  The publication looks at the approaches and considerations that should be taken into account when utilising Soil Stabilisation techniques on site, including:

  • Soil type to be treated
  • Binder to be used – including an in depth look at using binders other than Quicklime and Cement (with a focus on Flyash)
  • Design testing to be carried out before works commence
  • Application of the process on site
  • Compliance testing throughout the works to determine that specifications have been met

Have a look and let us know what you think.

If you would like further information on the Soil Stabilisation process, or have any questions about the topics listed above, then please give us a call on 01254 238 700 or send us an email to sales@trstabilisation.co.uk and we will be happy to have one of our technical representatives answer any questions you may have and offer advice.
