Soil Stabilisation chemistry

Found a great presentation here today which looks at the chemistry behind the reactions that take place during the Soil Stabilisation process.  The presentation gives information on the different binders which can added to different soils and the reactions that take place.  Its quite a useful presentation as it looks at:

  • What is Soil Stabilisation (Lime Modification and Cement Stabilisation)
  • The different binders that can be used (quicklime, lime kiln dust, portland cement, fly ash ect)
  • Different soil types
  • Which types of soil can be Stabilised
  • The different powders and the percentages recomended to Stabilise the different soil types
  • The chemistry behind the reactions

Have a look and let us know what you think.  For more information on the Soil Stabilisation process, then please give us a call on 01254 238700 or send us an email to sales@trstabilisation and we can arrange for one of our representatives to visit and give a talk or presentation.
