Soil Stabilization historical uses

Soil Stabilization (Lime Modification and Cement Stabilization) has been around for many years and its historical uses is something thats discussed in an article I found here.  The article is dated 1967 and looks at how Lime Stabilisation was being used to upgrade roads, airfields and building sites.  The document looks at the different levels of treatment within the Lime Stabilisation process and the various methods which can be used.  Most of these methods are still practiced today but with tighter controls and more guidance.

The article has some pictures of Lime Stabilisation taking place at the time and although the technology and machinery has improved significantly, the same basic elements remain the same (i.e. spread lime onto the existing material and incorporate using a mixer).  Have a look and let us know what you think.

For more information on the Soil Stabilization process then please give us a call on 01254 238 700 or send us an email to sales@trstabilisation.co.uk and we will be happy to assist you.
